Softball Game Preview: Clarence Red Devils vs. Orchard Park Quakers

The Clarence Red Devils will square off against the Orchard Park Quakers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Clarence earned a 9-5 win over Lancaster. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Orchard Park made easy work of West Seneca West on Tuesday and carried off an 11-4 victory.

Kenzie Burch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Maddie Dombek was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was McKenzie McCann, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Clarence now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Orchard Park, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Clarence came up short against Orchard Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 6-2. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
