Softball Recap: Pike County Bulldogs vs. New Brockton Gamecocks
Pike County had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the New Brockton Gamecocks 6-5 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gamecocks, too.
Taylor Trawick made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Emmya Moultry was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Kailia Beacham was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
