Preview: Sonora Raiders vs. Buena Park Coyotes
Sonora is 10-0 against Buena Park since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Sonora Raiders will play host again and welcome the Buena Park Coyotes, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Sonora is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Buena Park in California (Sonora is ranked 125th, while Buena Park is ranked 666th).
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sonora beat Sunny Hills 57-53.
Meanwhile, Buena Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. Their rough 74-49 defeat to La Habra might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Buena Park in their matchups with La Habra: they've now lost five in a row.
Sonora has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Buena Park, they dropped their record down to 11-13 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Sonora strolled past Buena Park in their previous meeting on January 9th by a score of 71-53. Does Sonora have another victory up their sleeve, or will Buena Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
