Centennial proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 12) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Palm Beach Gardens Gators 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rayne Cohen was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Palm Beach Gardens, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Centennial is taking a road trip to face off against Port St. Lucie at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Centennial is facing Port St. Lucie at the right time seeing as Port St. Lucie is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they will be playing at home against Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
