Basketball Recap: Pendleton Heights Skates Past Anderson with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pendleton Heights walked away with it. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 67-25 victory over the Anderson Indians. The Arabians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.

Pendleton Heights' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaycie Warfel, who went 7 for 15 en route to 23 points and four steals. Warfel is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 34 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Adah Hupfer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Pendleton Heights smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 19 consecutive contests.

Pendleton Heights is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-22.

Pendleton Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-21 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 8th. Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
