Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County suffered their biggest loss since March 3rd on Tuesday. They came up short against the North Pike Jaguars, falling 14-1. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Franklin County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Brumfield, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for North Pike, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

While Franklin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
