It was a good run, but South Laurel unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They fell 63-54 to the Bryan Station Defenders. The loss was the Cardinals' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Laurel fell to 5-1. As for Bryan Station, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
