Basketball Game Preview: Shoemaker Wolves vs. Harker Heights Knights

The Shoemaker Wolves will square off against the Harker Heights Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Shoemaker is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Midway: they outscored them in every quarter. Shoemaker took down Midway 64-45 on Friday. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Panthers are ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Harker Heights beat Killeen 61-50 on Friday.

Shoemaker pushed their record up to 14-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Harker Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Shoemaker beat Harker Heights 72-65 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will Shoemaker repeat their success, or does Harker Heights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
