Softball Recap: Point Pleasant Drops Season-High Score on Nitro

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Point Pleasant). Everything went their way against the Nitro Wildcats on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-3 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Point Pleasant and bumps their season record up to 14-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Nitro, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-17.

Point Pleasant wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Winfield on the 7th. Nitro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
