Basketball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by the Lake Highlands Wildcats 64-33. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

MacArthur's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drelen Davis, who posted nine points. That's the most points Davis has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Treyden Berryman, who scored eight points and seven boards.

MacArthur dropped their record down to 5-20 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Lake Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 21-6 record this season.

MacArthur didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-52 defeat against Berkner on the 21st. Lake Highlands has also already played their next contest, a 67-49 loss against Dallas Jesuit on the 21st.
