After a string of five wins, Silver Bluff's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newberry Bulldogs.

Silver Bluff lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Deshawn Wells, who posted 12 points along with six assists and three steals. Wells is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Zean Dicks was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points.

Silver Bluff's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for Newberry, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Silver Bluff will challenge Keenan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keenan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Silver Bluff likes a good challenge.
