Softball Recap: Draughn Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Draughn took on Patton on Friday. The Wildcats fell 6-2 to the Panthers. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 12-6.

Braylen Clontz was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Draughn has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Patton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13.

Draughn has already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against East Burke on the 25th. As for Patton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Freedom on the 25th.
