Basketball Recap: Roma Takes a Loss

Roma lost against Cigarroa back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Roma Gladiators fell to the Cigarroa Toros 44-38. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Roma still got an impressive performance from Samantha Montemayor, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Valeria Garza, who had four points.

Roma's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Cigarroa, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-14.

Roma will host Palmview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmview will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Roma surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cigarroa, they will face off against Nixon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
