Basketball Game Preview: Claymont Mustangs vs. Sandy Valley Cardinals

Claymont hasn't had much luck against Sandy Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Claymont Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Sandy Valley Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Claymont is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Tuscarawas Valley by a score of 51-49.

Meanwhile, Sandy Valley suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 68-48 to Waynedale. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Claymont's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Sandy Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Claymont and Sandy Valley were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but Claymont came up empty-handed after a 45-44 loss. Can Claymont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
