Volleyball Recap: Whitney Comes Up Short

Whitney saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Clovis West Golden Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Cooper Michael paced Whitney's offense, picking up 11 kills. Michael got some help from Balin Sillence-Dhamrait and his 18 assists. Michael was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Whitney has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Clovis West and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Coincidentally, Whitney and Clovis West will both be playing Rocklin the next time they take the court. Clovis West will head out to face Rocklin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Whitney will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
