Football Recap: Middleton Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Middleton kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 53-0 loss at the hands of the Rossville Christian Academy Wolves. The Tigers lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in August of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 50-27 score last time.

Rossville Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Hamilton, who picked up 89 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 36 yards and one score. Another signal caller making a difference was Landon Parrish, who threw for 230 yards and four TDs on only 16 passes.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middleton will square off against Thrasher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rossville Christian Academy, they will take on Fayette Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
