Volleyball Recap: Sandhills Valley Takes a Loss

Sandhills Valley lost against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mavericks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] got the win, Sandhills Valley sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 26-24, 26-24, 23-25, 25-17.

Isabella Waker paced Sandhills Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Waker got some help from Ellexis Hagan and her 29 assists.

Sandhills Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Sandhills Valley will take on Wallace at 6:10 p.m. on Friday. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller on the 7th.
