Basketball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Jesup J-Hawks 60-20. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the J-Hawks are ranked 78th).

Union's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Jesup, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will face off against Grundy Center at 6:15 p.m. on January 31st. As for Jesup, they will challenge Aplington-Parkersburg at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
