Softball Recap: Beloit Memorial Purple Knights vs. Janesville Parker Vikings
Beloit Memorial had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-13 to make it four. They fell just short of the Janesville Parker Vikings by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Purple Knights have suffered since April 8th.
Rilynne Cleland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
