Soccer Game Preview: Gregori vs. Turlock

The Gregori Jaguars are taking a road trip to square off against the Turlock Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gregori challenged Modesto on Thursday. Gregori came out on top against Modesto by a score of 3-1. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Panthers are ranked 997th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Turlock kept a clean sheet against Enochs on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. The result kept the Bulldogs happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 14th.

Fernando Carbajal and Sebastian Carbajal scored both of Turlock's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Gregori's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matches. As for Turlock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-5-3 record this season.
