St. Michael and Robertson are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2022, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

St. Michael's is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bosque 68-38. The victory was familiar territory for the Horsemen, who have now won three matches in a row.

Meanwhile, Robertson faced Santa Fe Indian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Robertson blew past Santa Fe Indian 64-35. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Robertson's win came from a few key players St. Michael's will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was George Smith, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 14 points along with seven boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse James Gonzales, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 17 points.

St. Michael's win bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Robertson, their victory bumped their record up to 27-4.

St. Michael's came up short against Robertson when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 80-75. Can St. Michael's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
