Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tate). They enjoyed a cozy 86-67 win over the Escambia County Blue Devils on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-68 back in November.

Despite the loss, Escambia County still got an impressive performance from Cleo Bolar, who posted 25 points in addition to five boards and five steals. The contest was Bolar's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaniguel Taylor, who had 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

The victory got Tate back to even at 5-5. As for Escambia County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Tate and Escambia will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Escambia County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-58 loss against Hillcrest on the 17th.
