            Basketball Recap: Forest Lake Christian Falcons vs. Encina Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Forest Lake Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They took  an  83-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Encina Bulldogs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Tuesday (56), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

 Despite the  defeat, Forest Lake Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Brendan Hooper  almost  dropped  a double-double on 40  points and nine  boards. Hooper's evening made it eight games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Caleb Fenton, who  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 13  rebounds.
 Encina's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Jalani Draper led the charge by  dropping  a double-double on 23  points and 11  boards. Another player making a difference was  PhilliP Worsham, who  went 6 of 10  on his way to 20 points in addition to six  assists and five  boards.
Forest Lake Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Encina, their win  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 3-7.
 Forest Lake Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Futures  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Futures has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Encina, they will venture away from home to  face off against Foresthill  at 7:30  p.m.  on January 17th.
