Middletown has gone a perfect 8-0 against Burrillville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Islanders are taking a road trip to face off against the Broncos at 5:15 p.m.

On Saturday, Middletown didn't have quite enough to beat Prout and fell 7-6.

Burrillville came out on top against Johnston on Sunday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Broncos put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Broncos have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Daniel Delmonaco's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jordan Furtado was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Burrillville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't).

Middletown's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Burrillville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Middletown beat Burrillville 3-0 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Islanders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
