Basketball Recap: Walatowa Charter Takes a Loss

Walatowa Charter played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 58-12 loss at the hands of the Logan Longhorns. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-3.

Desta Rose continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Logan, going 11 of 17 on her way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Rose is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Marilyn Moreno was another key player, putting up nine points and seven steals.

Walatowa Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Logan, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Walatowa Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Logan, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Coronado at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
