Football Game Preview: Sulligent Blue Devils vs. Southeastern Mustangs + How To Watch

The Sulligent Blue Devils will face off against the Southeastern Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sulligent is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 42-20 margin over South Lamar on Friday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Sulligent didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Johnwil Spruiel and Keaton Otts. Otts also made seven total tackles, which is notable because Sulligent is 5-2 when he posts at least four total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. Otts got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Southeastern won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Oakman 29-28.

Sulligent's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Southeastern, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Sulligent strolled past Southeastern when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 38-24. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Mustangs' Jericho Pendleton, who threw for 116 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards on only six carries. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Blue Devils still be able to contain Pendleton? There's only one way to find out.
