Basketball Game Preview: Wellington Crusaders vs. Rose Hill Rockets

The Wellington Crusaders will head out on the road to challenge the Rose Hill Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Wellington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Andale on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-25 defeat at the hands of the Indians. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Rose Hill lost to Clearwater at home by a 50-35 margin on Tuesday.

Wellington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Rose Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Wellington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rose Hill in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wellington since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
