Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jaxson Vachon and Ricky Comolli Lead Chariho to Victory

The Chariho Chargers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Westerly Bulldogs on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Chariho was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 29-31, 25-17, 24-26, 25-20, 21-19.

Leading Chariho to victory were Ricky Comolli and Jaxson Vachon. Comolli had 51 assists and 15 digs, while Vachon had 20 digs. Vachon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season.

Chariho now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Westerly, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

The future could be bright for both Chariho and Westerly: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Chargers will look to extend Barrington's three-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westerly will try to hand Pilgrim their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
