Basketball Recap: Tinley Park Comes Up Short

Tinley Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 44-33 to the Thornwood Thunderbirds. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Thornwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Jones, who went 6 of 15 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Pope, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

Tinley Park now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Thornwood, they moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Tinley Park won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bremen at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Thornwood, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Richards at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
