Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miami-Yoder). They claimed a resounding 62-22 win over the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-8.

Miami-Yoder's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jel Wallerstedt led the charge by putting up 26 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals Wallerstedt has posted since back in December of 2023. Gavin Howard was another key player, going 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven steals and six boards.

Miami-Yoder was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cripple Creek-Victor only posted four assists.

Miami-Yoder will head out on the road to face off against The Colorado Springs School at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-17 victory against Colorado School for the Deaf Blind on the 4th.
