Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edgewood). They put the hurt on the Edison Chargers with a sharp 10-4 win on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jaycie Broshear spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
