Recap: Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions vs. Vance Charter Knights

Sadly, the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions are still looking for their first win of the season after 18 contests. They were outmatched by Vance Charter on the road and fell 76-36. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Excelsior Classical Academy of the 64-33 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Several Flying Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Hill, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Malachi Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.

Vance Charter found their leader in underclassman Gary Wilkins, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Benji Watson, who scored 11 points.

Excelsior Classical Academy's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Vance Charter, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.

Eno River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three matches.
