Soccer Game Preview: North Pitt vs. South Central

The North Pitt Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the South Central Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Pitt has three straight victories, South Central has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

North Pitt proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by five) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Farmville Central 2-1.

Meanwhile, South Central fell victim to J.H. Rose and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rampants, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, South Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 406th, while J.H. Rose are ranked 58th).

North Pitt's win bumped their record up to 10-3-3. As for South Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
