Volleyball Recap: Pawnee City Comes Up Short

Pawnee City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10.

Kinsley Benson paced Pawnee City's offense, picking up four kills. Benson got some help from Ainsley Rauner and her six assists.

Pawnee City's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.

Pawnee City has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] on the 11th. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Sacred Heart on the 13th.
