Football Recap: South Fulton Victorious + How To Watch

South Fulton was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They managed a 28-22 win over the Obion County Rebels. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Red Devils were the better team in the second half.

Grant Joyner threw for 105 yards while completing 72.7% of his passes. Carson Choate was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards. On the ground, Josh McKnight rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown.

Obion County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Stone Ladden, who rushed for 81 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 113 yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Tucker Moore, who gained 201 total yards.

South Fulton's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Obion County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Fulton will face off against Dresden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Red Devils 10.2, the Lions 13.9) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Obion County, they will challenge Ripley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
