Baseball Recap: Mulvane's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mulvane extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 13-4-2 in the process. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Buhler Crusaders. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mulvane got a great performance from Grey Sanders as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over 5.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Braxton Madrigal, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Hackleman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

As for Buhler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Buhler's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Carson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Coming up, Mulvane will challenge Collegiate at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Buhler, they are taking a road trip to face off against Abilene at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight.
