Last Monday, Rivermont Collegiate lost to Quad Cities Christian at home by a decisive 61-43 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rivermont Collegiate in their matchups with Quad Cities Christian: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Rivermont Collegiate had strong showings from Eamon Matlock, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three blocks, and Dominic Coles, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Matlock has scored all season. Tahir Kaplan was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.

Rivermont Collegiate struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Rivermont Collegiate now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Quad Cities Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Rivermont Collegiate have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Quad Cities Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.3 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Rivermont Collegiate ended up a good deal behind Quad Cities Christian in their previous meeting on Monday, losing 61-43. Can Rivermont Collegiate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
