Softball Recap: Norwalk Comes Up Short

Norwalk made up a huge gap compared to their last game against El Rancho, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lancers fell just short of the Dons by a score of 13-11 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lancers have suffered since March 13, 2025.

Jazmin Jimenez led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiara Vasquez, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Norwalk's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Norwalk will square off against Artesia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Rancho, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Brea Olinda at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
