Baseball Game Preview: Dana Hills Dolphins vs. Foothill Knights

The Dana Hills Dolphins will face off against the Foothill Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Dana Hills has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Dana Hills took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past San Clemente 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Foothill has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.89 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 11-2 to Villa Park. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Foothill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Colburn, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Jaxon Foshay also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Dana Hills' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.
