Sutter put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Rio Linda Knights 50-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Knights are ranked 643rd).

Sutter was led to victory by Braden Scritchfield and Gary Bicknell. Scritchfield threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, while Bicknell gained 133 total yards and two touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Sutter proved: they limited Rio Linda to a paltry 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Troy Bowens for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sutter didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.5.

Sutter's defense didn't let Louis Means, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Bowens was especially locked on to Rio Linda's QB and sacked him twice. Bowens has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Another thorn in Rio Linda's side was Max Bringgold, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Sutter's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Rio Linda, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Sutter has already played their next game, a 67-0 victory against Natomas on the 17th. As for Rio Linda, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-6 win against El Camino on the 17th.
