New Iberia has gone a perfect 5-0 against Carencro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Bears at 3:00 p.m. New Iberia is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

New Iberia lost 14-6 to Opelousas Catholic on Wednesday.

Madison Taylor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Monique Toups was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carencro). They had just enough and edged out Jeanerette 25-24 on Wednesday.

Carencro's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for New Iberia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Everything went New Iberia's way against Carencro in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as New Iberia made off with a 17-2 victory. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
