Softball Recap: Cedar Key Takes a Loss

If Cedar Key was feeling good fresh off their 28-12 takedown of Wildwood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sharks fell 10-7 to the Dixie County Bears on Monday. The Sharks were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Cedar Key now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Dixie County, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.

Cedar Key does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dixie County, they will head out to face off against Newberry at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
