Basketball Recap: Laguna Hills Drops Highest Score of Season Against Live Oak

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laguna Hills). They blew past the Live Oak Acorns 72-48 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Hawks have posted since December 5th.

Laguna Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jackson Burnham led the charge by putting up 25 points. Burnham's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Mittelsteadt, who posted 23 points.

With the victory, Laguna Hills broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10. As for Live Oak, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Laguna Hills will host Buena Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Live Oak, they are taking a road trip to take on Oakwood at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
