Volleyball Recap: International Triumphs

While International's win against University wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gryphons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Trailblazers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gryphons have posted since April 20, 2024.

International had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-16, 15-9.

International's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

International wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against North Putnam on the 1st. As for University, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kokomo at 6:00 p.m. The Trailblazers are facing the Wildkats at the right time seeing as the Wildkats are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
