Adding to the longest winning streak in C1 District 2 this week, Syracuse beat Lincoln Christian 42-21. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Syracuse was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping the Crusaders. Rick Nordhues' team came in at 13 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
The Rockets' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Trey Mueller chipped in 163 yards. Connor Cameron helped Syracuse's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
Mueller was a passing and rushing force as Syracuse beat Lincoln Christian. Mueller's favorite target this week was Turner Moore, who caught 2 passes for 92 yards.
Moore was the best wideout in the league this week as the Rockets defeated Matt Farup's team. Moore tallied 2 receptions for 92 yards. Cameron helped Syracuse's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
Syracuse's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rockets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Mitchell Stilmock has thrown for 109 yards and 1 touchdown this season, while Moore has 4 catches for 130 yards.
Zach Heitkamp of the Syracuse is just 49 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 102 carries Heitkamp has put up 951 yards this year.
As it stands, the Crusaders are in second, while Falls City is in third.
The Warriors lost to Ashland-Greenwood 61-17 last week, the largest margin of any game.
