Basketball Recap: Escondido Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Escondido had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 victory over the High Tech Mesa Thunder on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since January 26, 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Escondido and bumps their season record up to 16-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games. As for High Tech Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Coming up, Escondido will face off against Chula Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chula Vista will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Escondido surely won't give up without a fight. High Tech Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
