Volleyball Preview: Woodridge Bulldogs vs. Cloverleaf Colts        
        
		
             The Woodridge Bulldogs will head out on the road to  square off against  the Cloverleaf Colts  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Woodridge is coming into the  match hot, having won their last eight games.
 Woodridge will bounce into Thursday's   game after  beating Norton, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. Woodridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Norton  on Tuesday, sneaking past  3-2.
 Woodridge took Norton into a fifth set  where they got it done with a three-point win. After all that action, the final score was 22-25, 25-13, 22-25, 25-23,  15-12.
 Woodridge's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Catie Patterson, who  had 39  digs and four  aces, and   Cece Patterson, who  had 11  digs and seven  aces. Catie is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had six or more in the last 33 games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chloe Shipbaugh, who  had ten  digs.
 Woodridge  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 22  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since  back in September of 2023.
 Meanwhile, Cloverleaf got the win against Field  on Tuesday by a conclusive  3-0.
 The final score came out to 32-30, 25-21,  26-24.
 Woodridge pushed their record up to 9-1 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Cloverleaf, their record now sits at 6-2.
 Woodridge came up short against Cloverleaf in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023, falling  3-1. Can Woodridge avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
