Baseball Recap: IMG Academy White Comes Up Short

IMG Academy White was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Imagine School at North Port Sharks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 two weeks ago.

Payne Cearnal made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Axel Dau Zambrano was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

IMG Academy White's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Imagine School at North Port, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Looking ahead, IMG Academy White will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinellas Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Imagine School at North Port, they will challenge Sarasota Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sarasota Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
