Football Recap: Manassas Takes a Loss

Manassas had lost four straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of the Oakhaven Hawks. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Oakhaven, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won five games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Oakhaven was led to victory by Gregory Walls and Darius Caver. Walls rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while Caver threw for 166 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

Looking ahead, Manassas will challenge Kingsbury at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Tigers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.88 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oakhaven, they will square off against Middleton at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
