Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Concordia Prep

Chapelgate Christian Academy came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Concordia Prep, but Noah Robinson wouldn't allow it. The Concordia Prep Saints came out on top against the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets by a score of 67-54 on Friday thanks to Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine steals. Concordia Prep is undefeated when Robinson posts five or more steals, but 8-12 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Jaylen Madden, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Chapelgate Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bryson Milledge, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Custis, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

The win made it two in a row for Concordia Prep and bumps their season record up to 11-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season.

Concordia Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 74-54 loss against St. Mary's on the 15th.
